Covid -19 had a huge impact on home improvement projects and the real estate market in 2020, so it is not surprising that the paint trends chosen for 2021 were also influenced by the pandemic. PPG Paints chose three tones that reflect a "natural and serene" environment to promote a sense of calm to a space. Sherwin Williams' Urbane Bronze also taps into nature with its warm charcoal/gray hue that infuses "tranquility" into a space.  Benjamin Moore chose a cooler color of the year with Aegean Teal to help bring about a balance between "soothing and inviting".
