Fall is in the air and that means floating pumpkins will soon embark upon North Shore of Oquirrh Lake! The annual Ginormous Pumpkin Regatta will be held on October 20, 2018 from 11am - 2pm.  If you have never seen this crazy race, be sure to mark your calendars to attend.  These floating pumpkins can weigh into the thousands of pounds.  Skilled carvers gently carve openings for a grown adult to (not so) comfortably sit in these orange "vessels" and race to the finish line without spilling over into Oquirrh Lake!  Did I mention some carvers use chain saws! The Pumpkin Regatta is a free family activity that Daybreak organizes and is sponsored by the Utah Pumpkin Growers and Mountain Valley Seed Co. Come hungry and enjoy some yummy food truck offerings!

SoDa Row Cruise Night is one of the longest standing kid friendly and free events in Daybreak. Every third Thursday evening of the month, dozens of classic cars from many different eras line SoDa Row waiting for "motorheads" (car enthusiasts) to come and dream, reminisce, and engage in conversations related to all things cars. On October 18th, SoDa Row Cruise Night will host a trunk-or-treat. Throw on your best costume and get ready to be treated!  Prizes given for the best adult costume, kid costume and car.  Judging takes place at 6:00pm.

These cabinets...they have a lot (of customization) going on! Printed glass fronts, design on the drawers, black outer box, and decorative handles.  Is it too much or just right?   Outdated given today's design trends or perfect for the right house? If they were in an existing home that you were buying, would you "dig them", or "ditch them" ?
