Congratulations Daybreak Utah!

Daybreak was just awarded ”Top Community” and “Suburban Smart Growth Honors” from the National Association of Home Builders!

These awards recognize Daybreak’s developers, builders and architects for their focus on creating a lasting community that will maintain value over time and reduce its impact on the environment.

Here are some of Daybreak’s award-winning features:

  • SoDa Row: 10 locally-owned and operated retail stores which providelocal jobs as well as retail options.
  • Conveniently located schools, shops, restaurants, and parks, which promote an active life-style while conserving energy.
  • LEED-certified/”green” commercial buildings and every Daybreak home is Energy Star certified.
  • The Mid-Jordan TRAX line, which will be finished in August of this year, will connect Daybreak with the rest of the valley and provide an environmentally friendly connection to downtown.
  • Also arriving this fall is the South Jordan Health Care Center, which will be a 208,000-square-foot University of Utah Healthcare Clinic.

The community has also been rewarded for it’s smart development. Since opening six years ago, Daybreak has grown to more than 2,500 households and almost 9,000 residents. Daybreak was ranked as the 6th best-selling master planned community in the U.S. in 2009. During the past four years, Daybreak has been the top selling new home community in Utah. One in five new homes sold in Salt Lake County is located in Daybreak.

Congratulations again to Daybreak. Thank you to all the community members who continue to make Daybreak a wonderful place to live!

My friends nicknamed me Utah Dave in high school because they said it didn't matter where we went in Utah, I would know how to get there and who we needed to talk to. The name sticks today as UtahDave has formed into a professional real estate network of Neighborhood Experts all across the state. I live in Daybreak with my wife and 4 amazing children. I enjoy dancing (which is how I met my wife Dawn) as well as traveling, coaching, and learning.
