Oquirrh Mountain Marketplace

What new businesses are coming to South Jordan in the Oquirrh Mountain Marketplace.

South Jordan is sure growing. The recent increase in "brick and mortar" businesses is providing job opportunities and a healthy local economy. Sometimes with so much growth there are growing pains, such as construction.

People say I'm crazy when I say I'm grateful for construction, but it is a sign that people are working, and our city is growing. It is up to us to be patient with each other while our city grows.

You've seen the construction at 11400 S on the west side of Bangerter Highway. So what are we getting? The signs have gone up, and this shopping complex will be called Oquirrh Mountain Marketplace. This business development will provide a lot of shopping and eating options for Daybreak and other new housing developments.

The first thing you should notice is Sprouts, a fresh food grocer. Sprouts is an excellent fit for the area because it focuses on providing healthy grocery options at affordable prices. Since Daybreak is an active community that promotes active living, Sprouts will provide residents with a shopping opportunities that fits their lifestyle. They estimate that Sprouts will bring 100 new jobs to our community. Check here for job openings as they get closer to completion.

Next to Sprouts is Home Goods which offers high-end and handcrafted designer decor for your home. Our community embraces creativity in the architecture and design, so naturally our residents love to decorate their home. Home Goods is a great addition to the community providing creative home accents, living supplies, and more.

Sharing the parking lot with Sprouts and Home Goods are other great businesses including: Massage Green Spa, Mattress Firm, an Orthodontist office, and a Nail Salon. On the other side of 4000 West a new CVS Pharmacy will provide medical, health, and beauty supplies.

With a growing population we have a growing need to eat. With the Oquirrh Mountain Marketplace we are getting a wide variety of eating establishments. You'll be able to find delicious sub sandwiches on either side of 4000 West at Firehouse Subs on the west and TOGOS on the east. There will also be burgers and shakes on both sides of the street at Wendy's and Smash Burger. Of course it wouldn't be a complete marketplace without Pizza! To make sure all bases are covered there are also two Pizza establishments with Papa Murphy's and Malawi's Pizza.

If that isn't enough we're also getting the delicious chicken of Popeyes, the convenience of Del Taco and the gourmet grilled cheese experience at Melty Way.

There are still 8 sites available for other businesses and I'm excited to see who will join the community. If you had your choice what businesses would YOU like to see at the Oquirrh Mountain Marketplace?

My friends nicknamed me Utah Dave in high school because they said it didn't matter where we went in Utah, I would know how to get there and who we needed to talk to. The name sticks today as UtahDave has formed into a professional real estate network of Neighborhood Experts all across the state. I live in Daybreak with my wife and 4 amazing children. I enjoy dancing (which is how I met my wife Dawn) as well as traveling, coaching, and learning.

I don't know if the frozen yogurt shop, orange leaf, has made it to this part of the country yet but I sure miss it. They were all popping up all over the Midwest before we moved to Utah. I'm real excited for The Oquirrh Mountain Marketplace because I can just drive my power wheelchair there without crossing Bangerter! I know Daybreak is a very social subdivision! I am too and would love a place where I could just meet people like a dancing/social club! Please email me and let me know what you think about this idea! Thanks for taking your time to listen to me!
