Farmhouse sinks are still soaring in popularity...why wouldn't they, they look great with every decor!  Of course, if you have ever had to install one, you may say, "never again".  There's more to the installation than meets the eye or the skill level of the average DIYer.  If you are remodeling your kitchen then a farmhouse sink may be the way to go; however, if you are thinking you can just swap out a standard stainless steel sink for an undermount farmhouse sink, you will most likely need new countertops and a new base cabinet to support the weight.  Other cons of a farmhouse sink are the price and the most popular,one-basin style, that doesn't allow for a separate wash and rinse.  And last, if you choose the white porcelain style, you will have the added stress of always keeping it clean.
